✨️ testimonials 🌿 Acupuncture on the scalp.

Recently, I've been feeling more and more like my head is heavy and my eyes are tired.
When you're busy with housework, work, and raising children, it's inevitable that you put off taking care of yourself.

"I've heard of needles being inserted into the neck and shoulders, but I wonder if they could insert them into the head..."

It was while I was thinking this that I came across scalp acupuncture.

What is scalp acupuncture?

Scalp acupuncture is a type of acupuncture that uses thin needles to stimulate acupressure points on the scalp.

  • Those who feel tired and unrefreshed
  • Those who are always tense
  • Those who are concerned about the quality of their sleep

This is recommended for the following people.

It is said that stimulating and loosening the muscles in the scalp can improve blood flow, activate hair roots, regulate the autonomic nervous system, and relieve brain fatigue and stress.

Depending on the clinic, the name may vary, such as "scalp acupuncture," "hair growth acupuncture," or "head acupuncture head spa," but the purpose is the same.

  • Eye strain
  • Head heaviness and stiff shoulders
  • Improved sleep quality
  • Beauty (lifting, hair loss, gray hair, thinning hair care)

I found this treatment to be able to meet a wide range of needs.

FAQ: "Acupuncture?! Doesn't it hurt?"

When I tell people I've been to acupuncture, this is the question I'm asked almost 100% of the time.
It's as natural as saying, "It's hot again today ☀️" on a summer day.

Here's my answer 👇

Some areas hurt, and some areas don't hurt at all.
I also believe that acupuncture may or may not suit some people.

In fact, the most painful moment was when it pierced my neck muscles.
However, the needles themselves are thinner than a hair and not as thick as a sewing needle.
It's more like a light poke rather than a sharp "stab."

That's why I think many people feel that it's less painful than they thought.
Of course, some people may find it painful, but if you're curious and decide to try it, you may already be a potential acupuncture fan.

My impressions after actually taking the test

I was a bit nervous the first time I had needles inserted into my scalp, but I didn't feel any pain except in my neck.
It was just a slight sting, and I felt more at ease than I thought.

I actually have alopecia areata, and after hearing that "improving blood flow can sometimes improve the condition," I chose scalp acupuncture with high hopes.
Therefore, treatment was focused on the symptomatic areas.

And then...

  • A strange sensation of blood rushing through the entire head
  • A gentle warmth from deep within the body
  • Sleepiness comes over me and I doze off...

Your head will feel refreshed after you finish!
My eye fatigue also decreased, and I could really feel that "blood is circulating properly✨️".

Points where I felt the effect

  • Lighter head and more refreshed mood
  • The parasympathetic nervous system is regulated, causing natural sleepiness
  • Feeling like the fatigue of everyday life has been reset

However, the effect does not last forever.
That's why I thought it would be a good idea to incorporate it into my regular maintenance routine.

By the way, the place I went to was an acupuncture clinic attached to a hospital.
It cost me 2,100 yen.

About what to wear on the day 👕

Many people are probably worried about what to wear during acupuncture and what to do during the treatment.

In the past, I wasn't sure whether there would be special treatment clothes, so I brought my own pajamas just in case.
When I told my friend about it later, I was surprised to hear, "What? They always lend me their special clothes."
In fact, I never received any information from the clinic, which made me lose some of my trust in them.

Since then, I make sure to check the website or call in advance and ask, "Do you have treatment clothes?"
If it's your first time, it's a good idea to wear clothes that are easy to put on and take off, or check whether there are special clothes available.

Afterword🌿

The scalp acupuncture was more relaxing than I expected, and it was so comfortable that I almost fell asleep during the treatment.
This is a treatment that anyone who thinks it will hurt should try at least once.

This may be a new option for those who are tired, want to regulate their autonomic nervous system, or are concerned about beauty.

I plan to go back again to get some self-maintenance.
