According to a press release on influenza from the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, the number of reported cases per fixed point, which is considered to be the start of the influenza season last year (2024), exceeded 1.00 in the 44th week (October 28th to November 3rd).
Therefore, the outbreak is about one month earlier than usual, and is expected to spread from October to December.

潜伏期間は何日？
インフルエンザの潜伏期間は、一般的に1〜3日程度とされています。
感染してもすぐに発症しないため、知らないうちにウイルスを広げてしまうことがあります。
出勤・出席停止期間はいつまで？
インフルエンザにかかった場合、学校や職場をどのくらい休むべきか迷う方も多いですよね。
出席（出勤）停止の期間は、学校保健安全法および日本学校保健会が発行している
『学校において予防すべき感染症の解説』で明確に定められています。
インフルエンザの出席停止期間は、「発症した後5日を経過し、かつ解熱後2日を経過するまで（幼児は3日）」と定められています。

つまり、たとえ熱が下がっても、まだ感染力が残る期間は登校・出勤を控える必要があります。
特に子どもの場合は解熱後も3日を目安に、医師の指示に従って登校再開のタイミングを判断しましょう。

Important points regarding vaccination timing
